DRASHAN

Drashan is delightful. Population of around 250. A secluded small village with sheltering mountains all round. Wonderful views, easy access and only 20 minutes from a major city.

Good transport links. Each day seven buses go through the village to the cities of Mezdra, Vratsa & Byala Slatina.

Daily bus to Sofia and another one back. It takes under two hours. Price is under three pounds!

Two big fishing lakes. A large, partially unexplored cave system, source of the local river. Three small cafes/general stores/bars. Big village square. Thriving pensioners' club.
